AECHE 2 Conference

MIMI partners attended the Second Arab-Euro Conference on Higher Education (AECHE 2) on 10-11 June 2014 at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology in Amman, Jordan. This major event brought together for the second time the Association of Arab Universities (AArU) and the European University Association (EUA) and their respective members. The Conference is addressed to university leaders and it aims at promoting, within a joint AArU and EUA framework, a sustainable process of dialogue, mutual understanding, exchange of knowledge and increased cooperation between Arab and European universities. This conference encourages Rectors, Presidents and Vice-chancellors from both regions to rethink the role of the university in the current context of internationalization and to examine the introduction of new functions to tackle socio-economic challenges in the Arab, Euro and Arab-Euro contexts.

It gave a unique opportunity for the MIMI project to disseminate its first outcome by holding a poster session and making available brochures on the project’s objectives and first results. Moreover, it falls under the project’s strategy to strengthen and enhance existing cooperation ties between Europe and the MENA countries. Please feel free to visit the dedicated website:
