MIMI Project Final Conference in Amman, Jordan

The MIMI Project Final Conference was held on 11 October 2016 at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), in Amman, Jordan.

 

This last gathering was the opportunity to see the concrete impact the MIMI Project had on the partner universities in Morocco, Lebanon, and Jordan, as well as give the European partners the chance to share their learning experience from this 3-year TEMPUS Project. A state of the art of the level of achievement from each partner institution was provided by CHE-Consult through a Skype conference call by Uwe Brandenburg.

Attendance success at the 3rd Arab-Euro Conference on Higher Education

MIMI partners attended this conference, which aimed to open a sustainable process of dialogue, mutual understanding, to exchange knowledge and to increase cooperation between Arab and European Universities. This event gave a unique opportunity for the MIMI project to disseminate its outcome by holding a poster session and making available brochures on the project’s objectives and results.

ANI Training in Amsterdam

On 20-22 of July a 2 day and ½ training was held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, by experts from the European Association for International Education (EAIE). The objective of this gathering was to train professionals working both at the institutional or the ministerial levels from Jordan, Lebanon and Morocco in order to give them the tools to become experts and references in the field of international higher education in their countries and region.

Training on QA in Montpellier

On 11-12 April 2016, a training on quality assurance procedures in internationalisation was given at the University of Montpellier, France. Led by the Spanish Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, ANECA, the objective was to present and share best practices related to the implementation and management of quality assurance to support the institutional internationalisation.

Students Soft Skills and Mobility Exchanges  

During the two day training that was hosted by the Ibn Tofail University , on 11-12 November, in Kenitra, Morocco, the MIMI ‘consortium. Representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education of Morocco, Lebanon and Jordan, Yarmourk University (JORDAN), Lebanese University (LEBANON),  Modern University for Business & Science (MUBS-LEBANON), Abdelmalek Essaâdi University (MOROCCO) and Ibn Tofail University (MOROCCO) were present at this event to work on Students Soft Skills and Mobility Exchanges in a constructive and pleasant atmosphere. 

 

International Project Management 

Representatives from the International Relations Offices from all the partners’ universities attended a 2-day training held at the Princess Sumaya University of Technology in Amman, Jordan on 30 September-01 October 2015

The training was held in a two-folded approach. The first day two groups formed in advance, took part to sessions led by EU partners on how preparing, submitting and managing both technically and financially a European funded project. The second day was dedicated in the morning to the effective implementation and management of an international project management office and the different possible models
